WASHINGTON - E.P.A. Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, who has highlighted strengthening tribal partnerships as a top priority during her tenure, today announced an internal restructuring that brings EPA's international and tribal programs together under one umbrella organization called the Office of International & Tribal Affairs (OITA). EPA has information, tools, methods, approaches, training, and techniques that can be adapted for other countries. These include: EPA’s Technology Transfer Network(TTN) provides information on technical air quality issues, including air quality monitoring, modeling, emission inventories, control technologies, emissions testing, and air toxics. EPA sets National Ambient Air Quality Standards, based on health effects, for these six pollutants. Each year EPA tracks the levels of these pollutants in the air and how much of each pollutant (or the pollutants that form them) is emitted from various pollution sources.

EPA's Office of International and Tribal Affairs (OITA) leads EPA’s international and tribal engagements, working across EPA’s programs and regions to develop and implement policy and programs that protect U.S. public health and the environment.
